Importance of discipline

Do you what one quality all successful people have in common? The answer is discipline.

You are disciplined if you follow virtues like regularity, punctuality, self control, time management and much more. Regularity means keeping an eye on your goals and chase your dream. Punctuality and time management helps us to value time and do everything according to it. Self control means keeping a control on anger, behavior, words and actions. It also involves to keep a tab on your routine.

Following discipline in our lives can help us achieve our goals. Enhancing our overall personality is one of its benefits. Imbibing discipline in your daily daily life makes you a well balanced person who is a boon to the society. We should derive inspiration from nature. Imagine what will happen if sun doesn’t rise on time, it will lead to chaos in the world. You can also imagine if Earth will not rotate or revolute what will happen. Discipline help us to become a regular and respectable person.

There are many living examples from whom we can take inspiration. Our honorable prime minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, Saina nehwal and many more. So if you want to be successful in life you should follow these golden rules.

Computers- Hazards and benefits

Computers are sophisticated electronic devices which can perform many of the functions of human brain. A computer is a wonderful and unique machine that excites and fascinates children and adults alike.

Needless to say, the use of computers covers a range of areas. They make calculations much faster and accurate than any human brain. The use of computers in banks and offices increases efficiency, accuracy and rapidity. Modern, more advanced computers can perform incredibly. They can churn out calculations at the rate of more than five million a second. Computers are being used at railway stations, airports, libraries, shops, offices etc. apart from various banks. Media of all kinds and communication are also greatly influenced by the use of computers. At both, personal and professional level, computers come in handy by way of facilities like e-mailing, media player, net surfing, web searching etc.

However, there is a negative side to the computers as well. Workers and their organisations feel that computerization is likely to lead to unemployment as computers, being faster, leave the slower human behind. It has also been observed that it causes muscular and psychological stress. The glare of dazzling light, necessary for the use of computers, injures the eyes and the injury sometimes prove to be a serious one. At functional day to day level, too computers have proved to be a major obsession with our youth who tend to get distracted from their more essential task in their attraction towards computers. The students’ academic and artistic pursuits somehow are at times sacrificed.

What is required is to avail all of the benefits of computers with a sense of discrimination. Whenever, the access of it looks hazardous we have to limit its use intelligently.

Positive effects of lock-down

In this time of corona epidemic, we all are suffering. We are locked in our houses, not able to go out, meet our friends and relatives and are getting bored. Many people are in hospitals fighting for their lives while their loved ones are hoping for their well being.

But every coin has two sides. If this epidemic has negative side then its positive side also exists.

Due to lock-down many miracles are taking place for which we were hoping. We were drifting away from our family, trying to cope up with this fast paced world. Now it is the perfect opportunity to spend time with our family and make evergreen memories. Rivers like Ganga and Yamuna remained polluted even after spending large sums of money on their cleaning by government. Now these rivers have been cleaned by itself and are becoming home for various water animals and birds. Animals and birds are not caged in small forests and are enjoying their freedom. The air around us is clean and fresh, away from all the dust and smoke released by various human activities. Each and every person has caliber to do something new, something recreational. It is a golden chance to polish our recreational qualities, whether it is art, dance, music or something else.

By this epidemic nature is balancing all the things, which were unbalanced by humans a while ago. It is a way of nature telling us that we are nothing without it while it is the same without us, sometimes even better. We should learn from this epidemic and try to live in harmony with nature and each-other.

The phone….

I was getting late for school. I had an important exam today. I was about to step out from my house when the phone rang. As no one was in the house I picked up the call and heard the voice of my terrified friend. She told me that her brother has met with a fatal accident and no one is in the hospital except for her as her parents were out of station. As soon as I listened to her voice I was dumbstruck. She asked me if I could come over and I agreed. As soon as I reached there she came over to me and started crying. I tried to pacify her but it was of no use. Simultaneously the doctors came and told her that he was in a major blood loss and required blood donation immediately. My blood group was same as his so I donated my blood and waited for the doctors. After sometime they came and told us that he was fully out of danger and could go back home if he wants to. Suddenly I remembered about my exam and was shaken. At that moment my phone rang and the number was unknown. I picked up the call and my friend was laughing. I asked her the reason and she told me that the exam was postponed. I was jumping with joy. After that we went home and told my friend’s parents the whole story and took care of her brother.
